Responsible Gambling

Gambling can be addictive and cause financial and personal problems. It is not a reliable way to earn money. You must be at least 18 to play.

Set limits on money and time

Decide on your gambling budget and how long you will play before you start. Do not gamble with money needed for rent, bills or other essentials. Loans and borrowed money should never form part of your gambling budget.

There is no sure way to recover losses. Another deposit or a higher stake does not guarantee that you will win back what you have lost. Taking regular breaks and keeping track of your spending can help you assess your gambling habits.

Recognise the warning signs

If gambling starts interfering with work, family or other responsibilities, it is time to take a break. Other warning signs include hiding how much you stake, borrowing money to gamble and repeatedly trying to win back losses straight away.

Help is available even if you have not gone into debt. Family members and others close to you can also contact a counselling service.

Taking a break and self-exclusion

You can request a break from gambling or self-exclusion at [email protected]. Support will arrange to block or close your account as appropriate. You must disclose any other existing accounts. You may not open a new account while self-excluded.

Independent support

Protecting minors

Anyone under 18 is prohibited from opening a player account. On shared devices, avoid saving login details and sign out of your account after use. Parental control filters can also help restrict access to gambling sites.
